Billy Miske was quite a guy and someone that deserves more recognition. Once he found out he was dying of brights disease, he hurried and scheduled as many fights as he could to provide income for his family. While he was literally dying, he was only knocked out once; his 1920 bout with Champion Jack Dempsey. The offered image shows the exact moment this happened as Miske is suspended in mid-air, on his way to the canvas, while Dempsey is seen still leaning forward from the power of his knockout blow. ANY image from this bout is rare with this being the only photograph showing the knockout blow that we have ever seen in the hobby. This is a unique new discovery from the scrapbook of a photographer that attended the event and the black paper corner mounts have been professionally removed but have left a touch of wear at the corners. Offered here for the first time ever!
