1961 Large and beautiful photograph of Syracuse University football star, and the first black player to win the Heisman Trophy, Ernie Davis. One of his greatest images ever taken, this is a completely vintage example with a stamp on the back and glue remnants from a paper caption that has disappeared over the years. Davis would be the top pick in the NFL draft and then tragically die from Leukemia just a few years after this photograph was taken. One of the only vintage example of this image we have ever seen and it grades almost perfect.
