Vintage 1947 photograph of Willard Brown and Hank Thompson, two of the first black players in the American League, as they posed in uniform with the St. Louis Browns. This is a smaller image off the original negative that appears to be vintage to the 1950's but could be a touch later, so we are calling this a Vintage 2 example (PSA will give it a Type 2 and likely say it is 1960's paper) but it is very close to the playing career of Willard Brown who is one of the tougher Negro League Hall of Famers to find images of. The condition and quality are both outstanding!
