The New York Yankees of the 1920's were dominant, but they had their share of players who appeared in just a few games and whose images are extremely rare. Enter Roy Luebbe, a rookie catcher who played in 8 games with the team and then faded into obscurity. Images of Luebbe are almost impossible to find with this being the best ever taken by rock star photographer Charles Conlon and bearing his handwritten notes on the back.
