Despite throwing the 1919 World Series and being banished from baseball for life, a curious footnote in baseball history is that the eight "Black Sox" players from the Chicago White Sox were allowed to play the entire 1920 season. Here is the assemblage of players in uniform and posed at the ballpark. Including Joe Jackson, the group appears to be in a happy mood with several players joking around and laughing in the image. An extreme rarity in any form, this is a 1960's restrike (c. 1963-65) which means the photo is significantly closer to the original date (about 40 years) than todays date (about 60 years). The condition is nice and it comes with a photocopy of the original paper caption glued to the back. NOTE, we have been informed by several historians that this is indeed the 1919 team and not the 1920 team as we had previously thought. This is the only example of this photograph we have ever offered.
