1907 Large photograph of manager Joe Cantillon and his Washington National (Senators) ballclub in full uniform. Likely taken just before opening day and during the waning days of spring training, the club includes rare players from the height of the deadball era and showing players in both home and away jerseys with one player even wearing his old St. Louis jersey from the previous season. This was taken a few months too early for rookie Walter Johnson to be included as he was still pitching in Idaho and had not joined the club yet. This is a fairly large image for the era and it presents well with silvering to the dark areas which was common for photography from the era. This is a completely original c. 1907 example from the estate of one of the players in the image and offered here for the first time ever!
