1923 Action photograph of Babe Ruth from the second game of the World Series in which he would hit two home runs, the first multi-homer World Series game of his career. He was caught here in a pickle play, but the back paper caption cements that this photo of Ruth is indeed from this famous day that led to the first ever New York Yankees World Series title! Issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well, this is the only example of this photograph we have ever seen and it is being offered here for the first time ever. NOTE, this photo shows no indications it is off a duplicate negative, but was likely shot from a distance atop the bleachers and blown up, resulting in the lack of clarity.
