One of the most famous photographs ever taken in baseball history is a somewhat staged moment between Joe DiMaggio in his last days as a player and a young rookie destined to take his place named Mickey Mantle. Taken on April 15, 1951 during the first "game" of Mantle's career (actually a pre-season tune-up against the Brooklyn Dodgers) it captures both superstars with their bats posing for photographers and smiling. An iconic that has been reproduced millions of times with this being one of only three completely vintage 1951 examples we have ever handled.
