1944 Large photograph of the USS Augusta as it headed toward the newly liberated beaches at Normandy, just days after the first wave on D-Day. An official US Navy photograph which has the purple government stamps on the back. A well known photograph that we have never seen before in original form and it presents well with some light creasing from editorial use.
