Large July 15, 1944 photograph of an American soldier helping a displaced Japanese family relocate to a safer camp during the height of fighting on Saipan. A powerful work of art that we have never seen before. The photo is a mat finish dark room image that appears by all accounts to be original to the 1940's and mounted on old artist board for display in a gallery so the back is not visible. We feel this is original and as such is a work of WWII art that we have never seen before! The photo measures 10.5x13.25 but the complete item with artist board measures about 15x20.
