Large 1943 photograph of two soldiers at the famous Stage Door Canteen in New York City and reading a French newspaper. The photo is a massive image in great shape, completely original, and signed by famous photographer Mildred Hatry. She was a pioneer woman photographer during WWII and another one of her images from this same location (Dunham Dancers) is coveted by collectors today. Signed on the photograph in vintage fountain pen and also in pencil on the mat, this is from an exhibition she did just after the war in 1946! One of the only images by Mildred Hatry we have ever seen and it is a museum quality work of art!
