1941 Official United States Military photograph of the USS Arizona ablaze in Pearl Harbor after the surprise attack on December 7, 1941. The Arizona is the most tragic of all the ships taken down on this day as it rolled over and trapped hundreds of men inside where they remain to this very day. This photograph is one that has been reproduced often with this example being the only original we have ever seen, dated on the back and issued with the important purple text on the back from the military. The photo has a crease at the top which is tough to see unless tilted to the light. One of the most important of all Pearl Harbor photographs we have ever handled in twenty years, the photo is slightly trimmed from the issued 8x10 size.
