In one of the weirdest crimes of the Great Depression, a man named John Mills strangled his mother in front of an entire Pentecostal congregation during a revival as part of a human sacrifice. Three other woman were selected for sacrifice as well but the police showed up just in time. While the murder was a group effort, only Mills was convicted of murder while the others claimed they were in a helpless trance! The offered photograph is the only photographic reminder of the event we have ever seen and it shows the murderer in chains after being arrested. Issued by Acme and with a full paper caption on the back, this is an important piece of history that is being offered here for the first time ever.
