The first great pin-up photographer was Alfred Cheney Johnston. He had the enviable task of photographing the beautiful young ladies of the Ziegfeld Follies and other dancers at the time and while his work was risqué, the people loved it! His images are coveted by collectors today. This is a massive image in great shape and stamped by the famous photographer on the back which also identifies the subject as Marg. McNamara. One of the finest and clearest images by Johnston we have ever handled and it is an absolute work of art from about 1925.
