Vintage c. 1919 cabinet style photograph of Jim Barron from the Canton Bulldogs in uniform and posing on the field. He started his career in professional football in 1916 but is best remembered as a member of the 1919 champion Canton team that featured Jim Thorpe. This image is from a family member so we were pretty confident of the attribution, but when compared to the famous 1919 Canton team composite image, the photo of Carron is almost exact to this one! A rare piece of early NFL history in great shape with some wear to the photographers folder being the only issue. This is quite possibly his only image known and it is a beauty!
