1955 Extremely early photograph from spring training and showing two young members of the Cleveland Indians checking out their new jerseys. Al Smith would be a really good player, but the young man at the left, Rocky Colavito, would become one of the biggest stars in the game! Taken by a local photographer and stamped on the back, this is being offered here for the first time ever. Colavito would not debut until the end of the 1955 season so this image from March is perhaps his earliest in a major league uniform! The photo has a touch of discoloration from age but it looks great otherwise.
