1955 Was the year that the Yankees would finally lose the World Series to the Brooklyn Dodgers, but after the second game of the fall classic, it did not seem like that would be the outcome. The Yankees won each of the first two games, prompting this photograph in which Casey Stengel holds up a cocky two-fingers for photographers, but the Dodgers would take four of the next five to cement their place in history. A cool photograph from the International News and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well that identifies the photographer as Frank Mastro. Condition and quality are both outstanding.
