1954 Early and rare photograph of young rookie, Hank Aaron, as he talked with manager Charlie Grimm during spring training. One of his earliest images we have ever seen, this captures Aaron wearing a jersey without a number on it, even before he turned to number 5 his rookie season! Issued by the United Press and stamped on the back, this is an early 1960's example that was developed about ten years after the original 1954 negative was snapped. Condition is not bad with a crease on the right side running from top to bottom but it looks better than the technical grade. The quality is outstanding and this is one of the few examples of this 1954 image that dates to Aaron's career!
