1949 Important photograph of Hall of Famer Johnny Mize in uniform with the New York Yankees and posing for photographers for the first time ever after being sold to the New York Giants. A bold image that presents Mize like a baseball icon, the image is so clear that the label of his bat is visible from across the room. Mize would be a huge part of the Yankees' World Series teams of the early 1950's and it all started here. Condition is nice with note to minimal handling wear and a tiny rip on the far left border.
