Dated 1939 and 1941 vintage photograph lot, the group contains (26) large images of some of the biggest names in baseball, most from the American League. Every photograph was taken during Spring Training in either 1939 or 1941 and captures players from the Red Sox, Yankees and Indians in uniform with the date, name, and location written on the back in fantastic penmanship. Huge names abound in this lot (which also contained the Ted Williams photograph we are selling separately, PSA authenticated to prove the vintage of these images) including Hall of Famer Joe DiMaggio, Jimmie Foxx (2), Lou Boudreau, Joe Cronin, Lefty Grove, Tom Yawkey, Bob Feller, Casey Stengel, Bobby Doerr, and Al Lopez. The lot also includes Dom DiMaggio, Jeff Heath, Al Smith, Joe Vosmik, Roger Peckinpaugh, Roy Mack, Beau Bell, Jim Bagby Jr., Bill Knickerbocker, Denny Galehouse, Fritz Ostermueller, Jim Tabor, Joe Dobson, Rollie Hemsely, and Frankie Pytlak.
