Large and almost panoramic 1924 action photograph from the second game of the World Series between the New York Giants and the Washington Senators and taken from the first base stands of the Washington ballpark (Griffith Stadium). A fantastic image with exceptional clarity that shows Hall of Famer Freddie Lindstrom at bat for the Giants. The image shows an integrated assemblage of fans, venders, players and employees of the ballclub all mashed together this slice of pure Americana! Issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a nice paper caption as well, the photo presents well with some wear to the upper corners and a small rip on the lower right but it looks better than the technical grade.
