After the first two games of the 1921 World Series it seemed like the Yankees had it in the bag. They wone games one and two to take a 2-0 lead, but then Fred Toney from the Giants shut them down and won the third game, sending the Giants to an improbable title. Here we see Toney on the sidelines and warming up before the start of the game that he would win! Issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a nice paper caption as well. An important image from the first ever New York Yankees World Series appearance.
