1909 Iconic action photograph of Ty Cobb rounding third base in Detroit and heading home. We have never seen a vintage example of this photograph in the hobby, only restrikes, and this one is among the best of those out there. Developed in a dark room in the 1960's, the image presents well and does not fluoresce under a black light. The quality of the image is pretty nice and it has some great age to it. We believe the stamp on the back (Kuenzel) to be fraudulent by a well known hobby forger, but the image itself is clean and original to the archives of the Sporting News. This will get a Type 4 (1960's) from PSA but the best looking example of the restrikes we have seen in quite some time!
