Lot Description  

1948 Portrait photograph of the newest player to break the color barrier in baseball, Satchel Paige of the Cleveland Indians. A detailed portrait photo from likely the day before history was made, he is still sporting the mustache in this photo that he would shave before his debut! Photo has some editorial marks from publications (blue framing) and it comes with a full PSA letter (Type 1). One of the better Paige images we have offered in some time!
