Large 1916 photograph of race car driver Howdy Wilcox and his mechanic as they posed behind the wheel of their car at the Indianapolis speedway. Wilcox was one of the greatest drivers of his era and he would win the 1919 Indianapolis 500. Wilcox was dominant but would lose his life in 1923 at the Altoona Race Track. Stamped on the back with the date, the photo has a detailed paper caption on the back which clearly identifies Wilcox and his mechanic.
