1951 Horizontal action photograph of Jackie Robinson from the Brooklyn Dodgers as he tries to tag out Bobby Thomson of the Giants during the famous October 3 game in which Thomson would later hit the most dramatic home run in baseball history. The photo captures Robinson clearly at second base and while he is the star of the image, the fact that Thomson is included from his famous game is a fantastic touch. The offered wire photograph presents well with note to some creasing at the top and a slight curl from age. Issued by the Associated Press, this is an important piece of baseball history that is one we have never seen before. NOTE: 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this photograph will go to charity. The organization is called Nations United Soccer which helps immigrants assimilate to American culture through sports.
