Interesting 1950's photograph of Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson as he shows off his bat and talks hitting with an author named Alan Paton who was famous for writing against South African political issues and racism, which would have endeared him to Robinson's cause of integration at the time. A powerful image that exhibits perfect clarity, this also captures the only image of Robinson wearing an early batting glove that we have seen! A beautiful work of photography with racial and political overtones, this is stamped on the back by photographer Barney Stein and in great condition. Encapsulated by PSA as a Type 1 and grading a perfect 10/10!
