1944 Photograph of Joe DiMaggio from the New York Yankees as he traded his pinstripes for military stripes and was reporting for duty in the Pacific. Images of DiMaggio actually wearing his uniform are rare as he mostly just played baseball exhibition games during the war, with this being one of the best we have seen. Issued by Acme and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well.
