1920 Portrait photograph of pitcher Ernie Shore who had made quite a name for himself with the Boston Red Sox, as he had made his way to the New York Yankees at the end of his career. An interesting image as it clearly dates to the end of the 1920 season because he is wearing the black armband after his teammate, Carl Mays, had accidently killed Ray Chapman of the Indians and the entire league wore black armbands to honor Chapman. A powerful work of baseball photography that grades a perfect 10/10!
