By 1947 Babe Ruth was sick. So sick in fact, he was mostly just pictured relaxing and coming in and out of hospitals. This rare and famous photograph is an exception though, as Ruth harkens back to his form glory and shows off his batting form with a Louisville Slugger in tow. Issued by Acme and stamped on the back with a nice paper caption as well, this is the first example of this photograph we have ever seen and it presents beautifully.
