Red Grange took the nation by storm in 1925, changing the game of football and with it the social fabric of America in the process. When it was announced he would make a Hollywood film after the season, it was perfect timing to capitalize on his name in the West Coast and so a team of "professionals" was assembled and a game arranged for Jan 7, 1926. It was the talk of the sports world as Grange would take on George Wilson and the Los Angeles Tigers. The offered photograph shows a meeting between the two stars before the game as they exchange a handshake and a smile. Condition and quality are both outstanding and this is the only example of this image we have ever seen in any form!
