1937 Horizontal action photograph of Joe Moore from the Giants as he takes a mighty hack against the Yankees as the first batter to open the World Series. While it is not listed as such, this is likely the first pitch of the series as Moore was the first batter of the first game, it would make sense that the photographer would snap this picture on the first pitched ball. A bold image in great shape with the force of Moore's swing taking him all the way around to where he is looking right at the photographer. Issued by the International News and stamped on the back with a nice paper caption as well.
