1953 Exceptional photograph of the four sluggers that were leading the New York Yankees by notching their 100th hit of the season, each being a home run in the process! Included is young Mickey Mantle in just his third season in the big leagues as well as his buddy, Billy Martin. The image of Mantle in particular is one of the finest early photographs in uniform and posing with his bat that we have seen and it presents with crystal clarity. Issued by the United Press and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well, the photo looks perfect at first glance but has s crease on the lower right portion that is really only visible when tilted to the light.
