Iconic 1970 horizontal photograph of the massacre at Kent State. Taken by John Paul Filo, this famous photo of Mary Ann Vecchio screaming over a dead body on campus won the Pulitzer Prize for photography in 1971. A fine condition image overall with a few light creases, this is one of the only originals you will find in any form! Encapsulated by PSA as a Type 3, we genuinely think this might be a Type 1 as the clarity is exceptional and PSA is known for being ultra conservative with Pulitzer winning photos and deferring to a default of "Type 3" absent stamps from the photographer or news service. Regardless of what PSA has determined, this is exceptionally clean and bold image and is the finest example we have ever seen in our twenty years of collecting!
