1939 Studio photograph of the two most famous young actors in Hollywood, Judy Garland Mickey Rooney, as they performed a racist black face comedy skit during their film "Babes in Arms." Rooney is seen in full costume here and Garland is embracing him while they perform a dance. Released the same year as "Wizard of Oz", this was also a smash hit at the time. One of the few original images showing the duo in black face we have ever seen and dated on the back from the next year, 1940. The condition is not bad with some news-room handling wear, but the image quality is strong.
