While little Is known about Lou Bedford, we do know he was one of the earliest and best Hollywood special effects artists. He worked on films in the 1920's and 1930's creating models and masks for some of the biggest pictures of the era, and here he is showing actor Mischa Auer a scary ape mask he created for a film. Condition and quality are outstanding and this is one of the earliest images showing Hollywood special effects artists known to exist! Stamped on the back by photographer Jack Albin.
