1954 Extremely early photograph of young 12 year old Cassius Clay striking a classic fight pose from the genesis of his boxing career. By the end of the decade, he would be a Gold Glove and Olympic champion on his way to be coming the greatest fighter of all time. This is a vintage example that was probably issued in the early 1960's when he was first challenging for the title from Sonny Liston and the only original example we have ever handled. Photo has a crease on the left but otherwise it presents beautifully.
