In 1954, Terris McDuffie was a mega-star but treated like a second class citizen in his own country. In Cuba though, it was a different story. He could walk the streets with his head high, sporting the latest in fashion and was idolized by everyone. Here the sharp dressed star of the diamond poses at a radio station at the height of his career in this photo that could be used to illustrate the shifting times in the world. A fine new discovery with crystal clarity and despite some creasing for editorial use, it looks pretty good.
