Large c. 1955 photograph of young Marilyn Monroe, in a joyful mood and taken between takes of her latest film, and presenting a sort of "behind the scenes" feel. Stamped on the back by noted photographer Roy Schatt and in nice shape, this is a completely vintage example that we have never seen before. Images of Marilyn in a candid setting are rare as she was very protective of her image and insisted on being all done up as "Marilyn" before allowing anyone to snap a shot of her. This is one of the best candid style images of the real Marilyn Monroe that exists!
