1947 Dramatic action photograph of rookie Jackie Robinson in his first ever World Series as he slides hard into second base to break up a double play against the Yankees. Fellow Hall of Famer Phil Rizzuto took to the air to finish the play in spectacular fashion, making this an important but also aesthetically pleasing work of baseball photographic art! Photo has a few minor creases from news-room handling but it presents well overall. Anything from Robinson's rookie year is highly coveted by collectors and this one is great.
