1929 Photograph of old timer Joe Cantillon in uniform with Minneapolis and with the announcement on the back that he had passed away in early 1930. Quite possibly the last image of the well known veteran and the first of any type we have ever handled. Issued by the Associated Press and stamped on the back, there is a crease at the left and some cool editorial enhancements from publication in a newspaper. While mostly a footnote to the game, he was the manager of the Washington Senators in 1907 when he discovered a young pitcher named Walter Johnson pitching in Idaho!
