1929 Portrait photograph of young breakout star of the National League, Carl Hubbell of the New York Giants. He would soon take the league by storm and cement himself as one of the top pitchers of all time, but it took him longer to get there than almost any other Hall of Famer as he had to first fail and then develop a screwball in the minor leagues before ultimately finding success. Issued by Wide World Photos and dated on the back caption, this pre-dates his rookie baseball card by several years! Photo has some chipping on the left border and lower right corner, but otherwise it presents really well.
