1919 Silver gelatin action photograph of young Chicago White Sox infielder Fred McMullin fielding grounders at the ballpark. McMullin would become part of the biggest scandal in baseball history as he took money to throw the World Series with seven of his buddies. Never a star or even a starter in the major leagues, images of McMullin are the scarcest of all the Chicago Black Sox to find and this is one of his earliest and best. Stamped on the back from the New York Sun, the condition is perfect.
