1917 Large photograph of women soldiers drilling for possible inclusion into the fighting ranks of WWI, but doing so along the famous left field wall at the new Fenway Park in Boston and giving a look at the famous "Duffy's Cliff" closer and more intimate than any we have ever seen before! While the park's feature is famous today, it was nothing more than a ballpark quirk back in the day, so almost no photographs of the famous ten foot incline exist in the public. Issued by Underwood and Underwood, this is the first we have ever seen of the wall taken from this close vantage point! Photo has a couple pinholes from editorial use in a newspaper but otherwise it is pretty nice.
