1913 Beautiful double weight photograph of the left field bleachers at Shibe Park and taken just before the start of the second game of the World Series. The crowd is ready for action, packed to the brim, while vendors are already peddling their food and drinks to the eager spectators. A series of police are lining the wall to prevent rowdy behavior and keep the peace as much as possible, which is an extraordinary touch. A work of baseball art with tremendous detail, this is one of the best crowd scenes we have ever handled. Issued by Underwood and Underwood, this is a really nice image with some soiling from age being the only flaw.
