1957 Photograph of bitter enemies Jimmy Hoffa and Robert Kennedy as they converse over Senate racketeering charges. Both men would fight until the day Hoffa died in mysterious ways (he simply vanished) and this image sums up his life which was one of great highs and extreme lows. The fight with Hoffa likewise launched Robert Kennedy into the spotlight enough so that his brother could nominate him as attorney general in 1961 and get him confirmed. The photo was released in 1963, just outside our window as being a "Vintage 1" but it presents like a 1957 original and is indistinguishable without the paper caption and date stamp.
