Lot Description  

Large and beautiful c. 1882 cabinet photograph of Carlo Benedetti, the most famous sword swallower in America and an International superstar who performed in circus' and theatres for nearly thirty years. Posed here in this oversized J. Wood Studio cabinet photograph, he is indeed pictured with two of his swords as well as a lone rifle that must have been part of his act. An incredible piece of history in great shape, offered here for the first time ever!
