1929 Artistic close-up of the famous knuckleball grip of Eddie Rommel from the Philadelphia Athletics. An incredible photo that could be hanging in a museum or gallery, this silver gelatin masterpiece was issued by Underwood and Underwood and one of the photographers associated with them at the time was Charles Conlon so this might be his work. The photo looks like his style and it presents beautifully. Regardless of who the photographer is, the image is a work of baseball art and is the first showing Rommel's grip from the side we have seen!
