1927 Rookie portrait photo of young Hall of Famer Lloyd Waner from the Pittsburgh Pirates. He would bat .355 and lead his team to the World Series despite learning the ropes of the major league game on the fly! Taken by noted photographer Charles Conlon and with his handwritten notes on the back as well as his stamp and signature, this is quite possibly the finest image of Waner from his first season! Condition is nice with note to some editorial pinholes and a few stray pencil lines from artistic use, and a clear and bold image.
