Today it is common for athletes to have their own trainers, chefs, and other personal assistants. When Babe Ruth was given his own "personal" trainer in 1927, it was big news! He was both attempting to get in shape for the upcoming baseball season but also for his role in his upcoming Hollywood film! The trainer was named Artie McGovern and he is shows here giving Ruth a hot drink while he was all wrapped up in blankets in an attempt to sweat off some pounds!
